Scorewatch did suck and so did the customer "service" :-)

So here's a new one. As if paying for a horrible service that didn't do what it was supposed to the first month I had it -- only later to get an email telling us that we had to manually set the scorewatch to our target score for alerts to work - now ALL of my reports are GONE.

I called to find out where they all went and I was told there was a billing error. They can not tell me what the error is, and claim they tried to bill me "one, two, three, four, five times" as the girl so politely stated on the phone.  I carry a 2-3% util on all my credit cards and have plenty of money in my bank accounts, so I'm not sure what billing error they are talking about - she couldn't tell me what it was either. So, they shut down my account.  No email, no phone call, no cancellation message and lord knows I'm logged into this place EVERY day. No notice at all.

All my reports are gone too.  Okay, I can see that if they cancel the scorewatch service, all the included/'free' power reports would go too, but because the service NEVER WORKED correctly I had to PAY for SEVERAL extra reports individually and they took down everyone of those too. So, all those reports and there were MANY are gone and they will not put them back up or replace the money I spent paying for them seperately. So, basically every equifax report I paid for is gone, simply because they canceled my scorewatch account due to a billing error they can not explain. They also took with it all the reports that I paid for individually!  That's B.S!

WHAT A RIP-OFF.  I'm filing complaints.

You should be happy they didn't. Some companies will play 20 questions and then try to trick you into keeping there service. Any company that does what you say on command with no questions asked is Ok by me.Smiley Happy

As a matter of fact your post about how easy it is to cancel has convinced me to subscribe.

Re: Scorewatch sucks and so does the customer "service"

There's a certain three-letter big ISP that's the absolute worst offender I've ever encountered when it comes to not wanting to cancel an account.

A friend of mine was on the phone with them. For fifteen minutes, telling them she wanted to cancel. She was sweet and not wanting to cause offense, so they just kept pushing back. Finally I grabbed the phone from her, and

"Do you not understand the [bleeped] English language? Do you not understand that she wants to CANCEL THE [BLEEPED] ACCOUNT? Do I need to spell it out for you? Is there a word in 'cancel my account' that you don't understand and need to have clarified? Are you really that [BLEEPED] dense? I owned a pet rock back in the Seventies that was smarter than you, now CANCEL the [bleeped] account!"

It got canceled in three minutes flat. And I do hate being rude to customer service people, I really do, but this one had it coming.

Re: Scorewatch sucks and so does the customer "service"

FYI - Forgot to follow up on this. I ended up being given 2 codes for free EQ reports. Hardly makes up for all the lost history that I can't get back and the fact that the women counted on the screen how many reports that I paid for it and was atleast 5 that were deleted...2 free reports in exchange for the 5 that i paid for and all the history I lost is not exactly fair, but I give up.

I agree that 2 free reports don't make up for the 5 you no longer have access to -- not to mention the time and trouble you've invested in this situation. We've now added 6 additional reports and scores to your Suze Orman FICO Kit, which will be good until 4/09 when your kit expires. These reports/scores can be from any of the three bureaus. I hope this is a little more like what you were hoping for. If not, or if you're not going to use them before 4/09, let me know and I'll do what I can. Sorry for the difficulty!

WOW. What a nice surprise! Thank you, Barry. I truly appreciate that. I also think that without your intervention I never would have received that call back, like I had been promised. Thank you very much for genuinely being concerned about myFico customers.  I wish everyone in the customer service department took a lesson from your book.
