I have been seeing an alarming pattern with TransUnion since the middle of last year.. Of the 3 CB's, TransUnion is routinly reporting very very late, as in 2 to 3 months and longer on many of my Credit Card accounts. And I notice it seems to happen on accounts where I either pay off a card, or otherwise make several thousand dollar payments only to see TU continuing to not report.. I had to call NWFCU last week to have them once again send an off cycle udate to TU.. My card has had a zero balance since Nov of last year but TU still shows a 3k balance. Same thing happened with a Citi card and my Discover card, both of which were 2 full months behind recently.. NWFCU has become suspicious of me calling to request this as they keep confirming that they send updates monthly.. I'm only seeing this when there are large decreases in balances.. When a balance increases, It seems to update normally along with the other 3 CBs..
We all know that banks and other lenders can charge higher interest and take other AAs if someone's score is lower.. I wonder if there is some sort of objective that TU is pursuing to keep peoples credit scores lower... Anyone else seeing this..
