Simulator for other than TransUnion?

How do I get the simulator to work on scores other than TU?

I could swear I used to be able to use it on Experian, but I don't see that option any longer.

Re: Simulator for other than TransUnion?

If you're talking about your FICO score reports, the sim is available on EQ and TU. They've never had it on EX --you might notice that EX also doesn't tell you what you're doing right on screen 2.

I think that there is a 3-in-1 service that has a simulator, and it's supposed to be more flexible that FICO's (wouldn't be hard), but since their scores are FAKO's, you're not going to get much benefit from running them through a sim.

Re: Simulator for other than TransUnion?

According to my credit reports--

The FICO® Score Simulator is only available if you have an Equifax or TransUnion credit report from the past 30 days. This is because it simulates changes to your actual credit data, so that data must be recent. Regretfully, the Simulator is not available if you only have a credit report or reports from Experian within the past 30 days.

Thanks, psychic, I hadn't thought of that! I pull my scores so frequently that I guess there's always something there to play with.

Re: Simulator for other than TransUnion?

Okay, got the EQ one to work by updating my Scorewatch.

But apparently one can't ever have a simulator for EX? Why would that be?

Re: Simulator for other than TransUnion?

EX doesn't play nicely with myFICO. I don't know what their issue is; it might have something to do with them flogging their PLUS scores or something. As further examples, EQ sells the FICO EQ score and ScoreWatch on their site. TransUnion sells the FICO TU score and quarterly monitoring service, although you have to dig a bit (www.transunioncs.com; note the "cs."). EX? nope.
