My score has been 686 since the first part of April. I bought TU score and it was higher, but no alert from Equifax. Lo and behold this morning I just decided to buy Eq report and it has increased by 4 points!!
Can someone tell me why there was no score alert? I have it set to alert on 687, but nothing happens!

Apparently, your target has been set at various different scores for the last couple of months that were at times higher and lower than your actual scores. To be alerted to the next score change you should always set your target score to your current score (the one pulled most recently).
And while I can't say for sure why you didn't get an alert, keep in mind that SW monitors for score changes on a weekly (not daily) basis. Also, be aware that once you pull that new score, no alert will be sent for that score change. So, even if your score change was going to trigger an alert, it could be that your score changed less than 7 days before you pulled it and would have alerted you had you not pulled it. Sounds nuts, I know, but I'm not making this up.
We've added a free score to your SW subscription with the recommendation that you pull it and then immediately set your target score to it. Good luck!
jbee...I had the same issue a while back. As certain cards were PIF, I expected to see something "now"! When I didn't get an alert within a day, I got a new report & saw a higher score! I spoke w/customer service & he told me, just as Barry told you, set your target as your current score & leave it alone! Let the SW system do what it's supposed to do. You may not get an update that day, but within just a few...POOF, there it is!
He also mentioned that every time you get a new report, it resets that 7 or so day "sweep", if you will. So these days, I don't buy unless something really big has occured, like a baddie dropping off. Then I like to really see my new scale & what it says.
Bottom line, just sit back & let the system do it's 7 to 10 day "sweep" of your report & it will let you know of any score or balance changes.
Thanks Barry and Bungalow. I remember changing the settings to see if it would work for a lower score.
I'm not going to mess with it anymore
Thanks Barry for the free report. Do I have to use it now or can I wait until I pay down my cc next week?

As long as you don't mind possibly missing a score change alert or two or three, take your time. But keep in mind, however, that after you pay that cc down next week, it's going to have to be reported to EQ before your score might change due to a drop in your utilization and result in an alert. If it were me, I'd pull it now and re-set my target score immediately. Then you're more likely to get an alert if your score changes after the drop in util.
Thanks Barry. I will do it now.
