Per the agent, the HP is good for 30-days. sorry if I missed parts of the story but, based on what I read: you applied for a CLI knowing it would be a HP you got a HP they decided they aren't doing CLIs on the 3% AOD card anymore ??? you get to use the HP for something you didn't apply for because reasons I'd be demanding they remove the HP, personally, no chance I'm letting them get a HP on me, particularly if they do end up nerfing the 3% for the current cardholders. Glad I saw this because I was going to say essentially the same thing. It isn't on you if they chose to no longer offer the option but did not adequately communicate to internal staff or update their application software to not process the request. What you can consider doing is to send them a letter CMRR saying something along the line that since they are no longer offering the ability to be approved for CLIs on the card and neither inhibited the ability to request one or otherwise disclose that info before you applied they should not have processed your application and therefore you want the hard pull withdrawn within 30 days. If they don't respond positively and the inquiry is still reporting 31 days after they get the letter (that's one reason why the CMRR) file an online NCUA complaint. A withdrawal takes a bit of work on their part and they may not have a lot of experience in how to do it but that's an AOD problem. Hey @coldfusion Exactly what you are suggesting here is what my CSR recommended to me today. They asked me to email them again with all the details, addressing Equifax, and they are going to add something formal on their part as well to attempt to remove the HP from my CR. Lets see what happens. I'll update this thread once I find out how it turns out. Yay! They can definitely have the inquiry withdrawn, since they appear to be willing to do this they will just have to follow the correct steps. Do understand that the process can take 1-2 months to be resolved. Good luck!
