Wow! I did it! Just like that I was approved for a 2K credit line!! My first card approved over $300! I'm on my way! I'm just so excited right now. I will definitely ask for a higher limit once I activate the card. I'll wait to change to blue card. Thanks for all the great advice everyone! You rock!

My scores are EQ 582, 625 EX and 630 TU. I want to move into the prime world, so I can cancel my sub-prime cards that charge monthly and yearly fees. I'm close to the year mark on two cards. I understand it's bad to close them, but if I can get a few prime cards, I don't care.

That sounds like a full time job! Who could possibly keep track (or want to) of that many cards? I thought one should have at least 3 revolving trade lines with balances under 30% (some people think 50% and some people think between 1-9%).

Not to doubt your knowledge, but if you have scores in the 400's, how do you have so many opinions? Where have you learned what you know? I'm debating on my options to improve my credit. I've followed through with advice to dispute acct to drop off in July and it was dropped. Thanks. Just came across a thread where you revealed your scores. Not trying to sound disrespectful. Just curious.

I was able to roll around 7K of negative equity into a new loan. I started out with a 12K loan at 23%, I then moved into a 30K loan at 13.5%. Now I'm looking at re-financing to get a better rate. Now that my scores are higher, I wonder if it would be best to buy a new car to get the lowest rates. I'm sure I would still have some negative equity. I bought the car new last year.

Anyone had any luck re-financing their auto loan? I'm paying 13.5% on a 28K auto loan. Currently, I have my mom on the loan. It was the only way to get the deal done because my scores were so low at the time. I'm sure that's why I was even at 13.5%. Before I apply, I want to make sure I don't waste a lot of inquiries. I despise CSC. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with a lawsuit against them. I also disputed and am waiting to hear from someone. It was supposed to be removed in July, but I disputed to ensure it would drop off. I'm buying a house soon. I guess I'll try the numbers in the previous post tomorrow. I have never been able to log in!

I went ahead and purchased my experian score today. It seemed updated. One of my accts was removed, but another added. :( My score stayed the same. The previous collection removed was 7 years old. I thought my score would have dropped.

Sorry I freaked out. I just had another collection item added to my report. It was a ticket from 2003. I don't even know what it's for. I think an unpaid driving ticket. I called to find out many times, but I never got through to anyone. One time I was on hold for 45 minutes! Frankly, I can't remember the details, but I want to say I paid it over the phone by credit card. When I finally got through to someone, she said they had problems with their system and some payments were not processed, so she always suggests people call in to make a payment. Brilliant idea! I spoke to a supervisor and he said that he couldn't do anything for me. If I wanted to, I could write the courts and ask to have them remove it once I explained the circumstances. I know it's my fault for not paying the ticket. At that time, I was pressed for cash. I'm trying to fix everything now, but it just seems never ending. Just tired of this game. I was so excited to buy a house and now I know this probably brought my middle score below the needed 620. I just got my score there days ago.

Call and start a dispute of an item. Tell their automated system that it's not yours and you don't know who it belongs to. It will then say you need to speak with an agent because it requires further assistance. I'm now on hold to speak with a live person...

I've had it. I'm ready to walk away from this credit bullXXXX and only buy things with cash. I'm tired of trying to make sure I use my card, even though I don't want to, to keep a balance between 1-9%. It's lots of fun on a $300 joke of a credit card. It takes seconds to have incorrect items put on my credit report and months to get it removed. FXXK this! I'm ready to close out everything and say to hell with credit! I'll rent and just continue to pay cash for everything. No more late fees because you think you have a 10 day window, but that it's really nine because if you pay on the 10th day you get charged. Thanks for the update Wells Fargo. Life sucks! I want to go back to the good old days where a person's name was all they needed. I'm a good person and I'm tired of feeling like SXXX! I think about credit on a daily basis! No more!

My experian score and report were not updated. The supervisor told me they are updating the look of the site and some people's reports are being affected. My transunion report seems unaffected. I didn't order my equifax report. My experian report had recently had a tl removed and myfico's report did not show what the experian report did.

I would call and ask for your money back. I asked him, what about those individuals that don't realize they may or may not be getting a correct report and he replied they handle each individual on a case by case basis. Hope this helps!

My report was not being updated even though my report was correct on experian's website. I finally spoke with a supervisor who refunded my money. He told me that he doesn't advise purchasing a new report until August because they are updating the look of their website and some information is properly being reported from the three bureaus. They've been receiving many concerned calls. Just an FYI!

You can only order a report once every 24 hours. I went ahead and ordered them now. I just received my transunion and experian report and score. My transunion score reflected the updated report, but not the experian report! I went to the experian website and got my new report and it's right, but myfico's report is wrong. ? I'm on the phone with them now...

Disputed on the phone for item on experian at lunchtime and it was removed by dinnertime. If only everything was this easy! I just said it was over 7 years old and should be removed. I was concerned because my taxes went automatically towards my government overpayment, so I was worried it would be 7 years from last year because it was a payment. I'm on my way to the 700 club!

Thank you to everyone for your advice! I disputed two things on transunion yesterday and they were removed today! Now I'm anxious to see how it's affected my score, but myfico isn't letting me buy again today, as I just finally bought my scores yesterday. I used the code CPPSAVINGS to get an extra 20% off. One item removed was an overpayment for veterans benefits that I sought out advice on. Thanks tuscani! Wish I would have asked sooner! Looks like I'm going to be able to buy a home sooner than expected! My score has continued to rise with your advice!

I'm not sure what to do. I'm in the process of moving to a new city and want to buy a house, but I've been working forever to get my scores up. Just checked them today and I see an old acct I now have to dispute. Plus, I'm worried the new scoring will lower my scores. I'm an authorized user on one card. My scores are Equifax 575, Transunion 609, and Experian 625. I was told my middle score should be over 620 for a better rate. I'm so close!

What do you do when you have to continue to dispute old information? Do I have any options? When they keep checking my credit because they are the "new" collection agency, do I have the right to dispute the inquiry? Argh! This credit b.s. is making me sick! Everything revolved around credit. I realize I made mistakes when I was 22, but do I have to keep re-living the past? Don't we have any rights? The only inquiries I've had are collection agencies checking my credit. One did twice in a day, so it's showing up as 2 inquiries. Please help before I go mad!

I tried that number. Doesn't give me the option to dispute. It's either order a report, order a score, report fraud activity or remove fraud alert. Any other numbers?
