Also, your scores are calculated off the full report maintained by the credit bureau, and they're calculated AT the bureau. The myFICO score report comes along with the score as additional info, but even if the myFICO report is a complete hash for some reason, the scores shouldn't change as long as the underlying full report is OK. All I can think of is that your file is splitting and then fixing itself somehow, and the one time that EQ sent you the report by snail mail, it was temporarily in one of its intact modes. *scratches head* I think we're going to have to get an admin in on this. I can't get a decent mental picture as to what is going on with this. And typically, when a file splits, you keep getting the same two scores over and over --for instance 704, then 673, then 704, then 673. Obviously, these scores could change a bit over time with the usual paydown of util and aging and all the other background improvement, but I don't think I've ever seen score swings quite like your husband's. myFICO customer service is closed Sundays, but they're open Mon-Sat. Can you try them tomorrow? But this might be a bit beyond them --I don't know how much experience they have with something as weird as this. Phone: 1-800-319-4433 Mon-Fri 6am to 6pm PST Sat 7am to 4pm PST (6am Pacific = 9 am Eastern) Thanks...we will give them a call tomorrow, and I will keep everyone updated.
