I only charged $350 of which $84 will be returned. It was a lean mean Christmas for us. Santa didn't put anything under the tree for me, I guess I was a bad girl. So happy NOT to go into debt. I will have the remainder paid off long before the bill is due.

My mortgage is with Chase. Yes you can pay it online for no fee, or over the phone for $14 or at any Chase Bank. I've found them to be very aggreable.

Anyone know if it's been discussed to mandate the scoring process? I think they should release how this is done. There was a guy on Suze Orman who works for 'this' company and he didn't really have an answer as to how everything was scored.....it's our number after all, it shouldn't be guess work on our end. Thanks to this website, we at least have a 'clue'.

I was successful on the first try. I had an issue with BofA, due to dmp shorting payments by $2 each month, I called and called and called. Finally contact with BofA called and poof.....they agreed to delete all. According to BofA, it's still 'my' responsibility to review all statements...duh!

After being closed by credit grantor, I paid off entire balance pronto and that was months ago. Due to new job, etc., is it possible that they would re-open dh account? His old co. [DELETED} him around so much, he was constantly losing money (he's in sales) so he moved on after 20 years. with LOWES! I asked BofA to remove authorized user and within three days it went 'poof'. Lowes is now at two weeks and NADA. Is the rule they have to comply with my request WITHIN 30 days? I've called them twice already. Turkeys!

My dmp reduced my interest to 4% on BofA Cc and 13% on my signature loan. I pay $15 per month maintenance and donated $30 for the initial paperwork. Since my DMP was recommended by BofA, the relationship was excellent. I have it set up to pay a few $$$ extra each month and have brought my balances way down. I intend to be out of the program in one year. I paid off a couple of other cards on my own very quickly. I have had excellent results and mine report to the BBB. I hit a snag and it was all rectified. One thing I will recommend is: talk to your counselor, not to whomever answers the phone if you have any issues. PM me and I'll, as well, pass along this information to you.

oh boy. I really need to get dh a new card, but current debt won't be paid way down until mid-march. I was planning on hitting hooters the next month. Since he's paid 2nd Fri of each month, what's the best time to apply since I need the pmt due to be after that date?

I added dh to our new checking account and Charter One pulled two. I went in this past week and although the rep said it was considered 'soft', it was needed to verify information. I have NO IDEA why two inquiries were made and I'm going to insist that one be removed.

A cluster home is simply a home that provides the homeowners snow removal/lawn care. According to my ScoreWatch..my debt ratio is horrible. I agree. I put 20k on visa for my sons college & stupidly lowered the available credit down to 15k, I now owe about 11k. Best Buy at limit (3K) Sears at 40% ($175 balance) Firestone 50% ($500 balance) Lowes at limit (we're finishing current basement) again this always reports at full balance owed) Dillards 25% ($268 balance) GM Card at limit (I pay it in full each month, but it always reports at full balance owed) Bank of America, 250 balance, 2K cl Good payment history, no collections, no bankruptcy, no liens. American Express closed by credit grantor.

According to my loan officer at Pulte, they were looking at a LOT of NSF. If you have a couple, it was no big deal. They also wanted to verify deposits to make sure they were consistant.

Have you called RoadLoans to discuss this with them? I have a pretty low used interest rate with them. I found them to be very reasonable to deal with. I *think* people have so much paperwork to deal with that they focus their eyes on one thing and that's it. Maybe I'm wrong here, but if you're declined a loan, don't you have the right to dispute their incorrect information with them? Start by calling RoadLoans & see what's up with this. Maybe their contacts need glasses.

Here are the specifics No BK No Foreclosure No Missed Mortgage Payments Scores average high 5's due to debt ratio, which I will have paid below 10% by June 2008. I had a raise in interest from HSBC because of a late payment recently on HSBC-Best Buy. I gw'd the Best buy, they removed it. Interest rate has NOT gone down on HSBC. If you do end up calling, try not to get that Indian Call Center, they're the pits. Find another phone number...somewhere....someplace.

Be careful renting Section 8. I have a friend who owns five rentals which are Section 8. He can't wait to dump these homes. The homes get trashed and his rent checks are SLOW to arrive, meaning he has to front the payment before the checks come in. Four out of Five of his last renters left his home filthy and in need of repair. One couple even helped themselves to the window blinds and cabinet knobs.

ONE THING I will warn you about pertaining to new communities. We purchased our home during the beginning of the last phase of building. We purchased in 2004, our community will be complete in spring of 2008. Those people who bought into phase I and II are finding it nearly impossible to sell their homes for what they have into them. Many have taken a large 'hit' to dump the home. Builders offer all kinds of 'incentives' to get buyers into their 'new builds'. Nobody will really gain much equity until all phases are complete. We have homes that were owner occuplied for under one year and they're being dumped for up to $30 k less than original purchase price. Unless you plan on staying 'long term' don't build in Phase I.

I used $50 on JCPenney which took me right to the limit & $268 total on Dillards our of $1100 cl....Dillards reported IMMEDIATELY. About a -30 loss. Penney's will be paid in full by mid March & Dillard's in January. Please tell ME I'll gain those points back.

I WOULD remove myself as AU, but possibly only the card holder can do this? I too, am with DM and was advised to pull my reports quarterly. Thank G-D I listened because I did find an error, which has been rectified. It's my understanding, through my counselor, that your account should show NO lates as long as the payments are paid to the DM. I used ClearPoint Financial, member of BBB, recommended by BofA. If you have made those payments ontime, call the DM & get this straightened out asap.

If you moved out and your balance wasn't clear on the elec., I'm sure you still owe them. It's always best to double-check after 30 days to make certain you're paid-in-full. Did you not leave a forwarding address? Anything collection can hurt your score. That really sucks for a whole $123! It's the SMALL things that can bite us in the bucket. Some fico expert will be around to help you with your next course of action.

It will also help to take along a letter of recommendation from your current landlord. I'd love knowing that my place was well-maintained and my rent was paid on-time if I were the landlord. My sisters upstairs neighbor received a nice rent break by agreeing to keep the lawn cut and the flower beds cleaned up. Negotiation can be a good thing! You should be able to rent a place without too much trouble.
