This falls in line with my suggestion to those wanting to grow limits going with the slow cooker method of spend/pay. Limit yourself to 10% of your limit and autopay each month builds history, keeps utilization in line, and counts as activity. If you don't use your lines of credit there's no incentive to go higher than where you are. It doesn't have to be a signficant amount to achieve great results.
Of course being able to manage your use and payments on larger limits looks better to lenders because you're not being excessive about your spend each month. The less you carry a balance for an extended period of time looks better on internal reviews as well. Being able to float a balance occasionally shows you can responsibly use restraint and leverage the balance in your favor.
so, with 40 years of experience and dumping 28 accounts recently..... I'm curious what your ideal portfolio would look like when you're done apping for the time being? Is there a goal in mind or is it just to keep playing the 3 card monte with the cards? 300K+ in lines isn't a bad number to stick to either when it comes down to it and surely you wouldn't be using all of it at the same time w/o a master plan. I'm picturing the recent approvals as more leverage to float some purchases or shuffle some balances as well as potentially collecting some point$.

I've thumbed through some of your other approvals and think it might be a good idea to sit on your hands when it comes anymore apps. You've been doing alright for getting them but, it's a bit much when it comes to exposure. It might be time to start looking at your lineup and trimming some lesser used accounts to bring things into line again. I wouldn't be surprised if you see some correspondence coming from Comenity and Synchrony in the coming month or two. Side note would be if you're not using your Cap1 cards they'll probably be trimming your CL's back as well since that seems to be the trend for those using them as buffers instead of actively using them. Otherwise it looks like you're having plenty of fun racking up the new cards. Now you have to just figure out how to meet the spend for the bonuses on them.
I can't figure out how the OP is getting these huge SL's.
@austinguy907 wrote:28 accounts is a good amount of plastic to run thru the shredder. Shuffling things around and making them to appear better when getting reviewed is a good tactic when you know they're going to question the ramp up of exposure. Specifically some of the CU's won't touch people that appear to be pyramiding their accounts. So, pump and dump method seems to be working well if you're able to utilize them to their full potential. Everyone takes a different approach around here when it comes to advancing their own agendas. Some people are scared to death dealing with LO's and others don't give up like a pitbull when it comes to fighting for that one HP to get the approval. Obviously you have some secret sauce to the method of your madness that's working in your favor for some of these recent swaps.
I'm getting a sense of where you're coming from and going at this point as more details come out with each posting.
Penfed just approved the OP for $43,500.00. I'm scratching my head hard.
all of you friends penfed 43k SL was because of reward visa line adjustment i gave up 30 k to have one account with over 40k because i already have 30/35k accounts so decided to go above 35k threshold that way PENFED limit is account merge and the other high credit lines are because of super high scores and super high payment history and other factors i like to open accounts and close at the same time its my own special way not a rocket sience buddies

What are your super high scores? AAOA's?
Experian 801 trans union 794 Equifax 809 AAOA only between 10 to oldest 19 years anything else you like to know you are more than welcome these approvals are normal for me don't think it's a big deal once you cross 800 you don't get huge score hit just few points sometimes don't even get a hit I think its YMMV penfed limit is a merge of rewards visa i am still below 50k of their limit policy which is 50k i think for credit cards...i prefer manual approvals mostly
And?
I can hit 2/3 of those depending on the catagory and have had NO relationship with them in the past or present.
If I got with Travel rewards this is what pops up...
If I check off Cash instead then I get this:
Low intro offer:
The only reason for Kroger is because I'm in a market that has one... so of course they're pushing that card on every result..... Just not sure what the point of posting the "pre-qual" is for when it's not a true opt-out when you run the pre-screen.
@Mahraja wrote:closed US BANK with demand of confirmation letter 15 months ago received 6 e-mail offers for all card types and online via mail offers i got this
Going to apply? Keep in mind those are recommended offers and not pre-approvals. Below does it show FIRM aprs or a range.. I would venture if you apply for US Bank it would 99% chance goto manual review. Congrats on your approvals they have been good other than the APR on Chase as that is their worse APR and guessing your app spree has something to do with what they gave you w/regards to that although a nice SL for that card. Co-Worker got a 28k FU approval at the best terms several weeks back, but alot less recent applications and a strong income of course.
If you are having fun and don't care keep applying.. Eventually you will hit a wall as others have mentioned and most likely it might be with Us Bank.. If you don't mind having a few set backs then you certainly might yield some more approvals.
i am sure i will get those as well did not switch the preference's what about you applying ?
