Is that possible for someone to be approved for an Amex Gold, even though nothing came out off the pre-selected website?

Re: AMEX GOLD

I've tried the pre-selected website several times and each time I got the same response

There are no offers available at this time, Blah Blah Blah.

Guess what.........................  Called AMEX and applied for the ZYNC and was approved.

Similar scores as well,

EQ - 736  (8/15/10)

TU - 709  (7/31/10)

Re: AMEX GOLD

I was not pre approved for anything and went ahead and apped for the zync and was instantly approved so yes it can happen. I dont think there pre selector actually pulls a soft when you try I think they check there system to see if they have softed you recently and if not it comes back with nothing. Could be wrong though. If your scores are good and you want it go for it. Good Luck!!

Re: AMEX GOLD

I called just to see if I would get approved.  I did not think I would get approved.

The reason why I applied for the ZYNC is because it has a 25 dollar AF, Gold is 125.00 (free the first year)
