Definitely not a HP, but I do believe it's a soft. I think it's a "PR" soft vs. an "AR" soft. So, they don't get your entire report, but they get enough data to give them an idea of what you might qualify for.

I am opted out and repeatedly tried their pre-approval site and it never worked for me, so I do believe they are checking your credit report to some degree.

I've checked my EX softs a few days after doing the prequalifier with AMEX and nothing shows up. :smileyindifferent:

And do you get offers? I also have never seen a soft from AMEX after doing the prequalifier and am wondering if I'm blacklisted and that is why no soft pull generates. So curious if people who don't see the soft pull are getting offers.

Hi LS2982,

How do you see your EXP credit report softs as I belong to Experian Credit Tracker and only shows hard inquiries? Which credit report monitoring service if I may ask?

Thanks!

There may be other ways, but the EX report from annual credit report absolutely shows soft inquiries.
