CSP - recon approved after initial denial

Hi all,

First time user here. Just wanted to thank the community here about the info. I'm a foreigner working in the US for the past couple of yearsso kinda new to this credit score system. I do have credit cards but I have never put too much emphasis on the importance of building and managing my credit score.

applied for CSP just before labor day. When I wanted to know how can check my application status, I saw there's no official way to do so. After googling, I came across this great forumUsing the backdoor numbers, I got a live person telling me that my application was denied. While I'm not sure about my current accurate score, I know it should be a good one. Taking into account the suggestions on recon, I asked them to take another look at it, and was approved instantly for 10k CL (not my largest CL but still nice). The reason for my initial decline was b/c I applied and were approved for Chase Amtrak card 3 weeks ago (for work) and apparently the computer doesn't like multiple application is such a short notice

If it wasn't for the info here, I'd probably gotten a decline letter in 10 daysabsorb the hurt of the inquiry on my report, and live on (like I did twice in the past for toy cc).
