Re: Citi BB CLI hard or soft?

They told me it would be hard. They also said that the card would have to be at least 12 months old before requesting a CLI.

Re: Citi BB CLI hard or soft?

I can confirm it was a hard inquiry. I called them up when they took over for Cap One. Every time I asked for a CLI from Cap One for BB it came back with "you have reached the limit for this type of account" . Pulled the the trigger with Citi and was able to double the limit from 750 to 1500. It was worth it for me but going to be gardening after that.

Re: Citi BB CLI hard or soft?

For a lot of Citi cards, they will do a HP although some people are able to get SP's. I think if you call they can tell you what it may be.

Re: Citi BB CLI hard or soft?

Hmmm.....mixed results. Since I don't want a HP right now, gottta play it safe and not attempt.

Good call if you want to save the HP for something else.  Otherwise, it's Russian roulette at best with Citi.
