Been in the process of rebulding since 1/2012, finally seeing some good results got accepted into the Discover family. Can anyone tell me how they are as far as growing with me, and any other benefits of my new card. Boy it finally feels good to get an instant approval

Congrats...Discover is a good card to have. I got mine in Feb. AFAIK, they give CLIs every six (6) months. I still have 3 more months in which to find out...

When I recieved my discover (then "more" , now the "IT") back in 2011 They gave me a CL of 3,000. and my highewt cl card was only 500. My other ones were 300 .
6 months later they did a auto cli adding 750. , One year later (one year+ from the 6 month cli) I called in a cli over the phone and was instantly approved for 2,000. more ! Total of 5,750. now. And my other cards still remain 300/400 (walmart auto cli since then) . I do have high utility at the moment (close to 40%) , but zeros on the other cards. Im hoping to get approved for one other good cc, just to have Two non crap cards,keep my cap1,walmart . close the firstpremier and first savings now.... and in a year close the orchard bank and toysrus ones as well.

Congrats on your approval. A lot of members here have great experiences with Discover and CLIs. I have had mine for almost a year now with no CLIs, so I paid it off and threw it in the drawer. It is my lowest limit by a large difference and that probably won't change because I refuse to take a hard pull or use it regularly now. I wish you the best with yours.
