Anyone have info on such? Do you have it?
So if you want an answer sometimes you just need to get it for yourself... I made a quick little application over at Discover and just so you know, the up to 3 screens that one might get about application being processed and more info needed... I guess that depends on what is being looked at in the steps that hit the move forward or stop and decline process of the computer... I didn't get steps, it was decline.
so then called back the number and asked about account recon... and it was rep 1 that my roommate talked to that said" Discover does not reconsider or overturn a decision once it has been made by the computer but we do offer a secured card, would you like more information?"
I first only did this for the secured card info so I didn't further push on this no recon thing... so she started to say Discover has a Secured Card on the Discover Network....
I quickly said oh no tell me it's not the First Premier.
she said no its not, it's Discover.
I said what bank is it?
she said Discover
I said you said Discover Network, is it backed by Discover Financial or another bank on Discover Network
she said both, and then asked if I wanted the info by website or phone.
I said web.... Matrix
I said before even typing that is not Discover Bank and FURTHER Discover should be ashamed to offer this card if not approved.
she said do you have any further questions.
Now the website is up and I'm practically saying 2 things at once - secured (possibly) but you are wrong, it try's for unsecured, then partially secured, and last it will give you secured. AND it's not your BANK! while we are at it, why am I getting different answers from reps about recon being possible.
she says we do not recon and I can't speak for others, we can only give you info and offer the Discover Secured Card.
1. it's not a Discover Bank issued card.
2. So if you do get a rep that looks over your credit, they are just really trying to make you happy about being declined but they never actually could change it?
she asked if I had any other questions agian.
me- okay, so back to this secured card... Why is Discover actually telling people to go from an app with Discover iT with all USA Reps, and fab customer service to go to a bank that is known for fraudulant activity, horrible fees, and interest rates and well just over all terrible, not to mention that it's not just a secured card.
do you have anymore questions?
I said I thought Discover wanted customer feedback, I simply thing this is not a fit relationship for Discover to then push poor credit to a terrible terrible bank.
Do you have any more questions.
Okay, no feedback wanted today, if you are going to ask if I have anymore questions for a 9th time while not engaging in anything I have talked about for the last 5 minutes, you my as well hang up on me, it would be less rude.
okay, so since you have no other questions, good bye!
LOL - So I admit in the beginning of conversation I was very nice, I really wasn't using any tone UNTIL I got into Matrix and she kept saying false information and then followed by a worsening "Bothered" attitude
So maybe I helped but she was RUDE shortly after... but I do add one more thing.... Have we not been seeing on here a lot lately that peopple have been getting calls from Discover after a denial sometimes offering a different term on an approval? or is this only when you got a message that your app has to be looked at? were you actually declined initially before getting the call?
