What a great week I've had!!!

This has been an amazing week for me. I have gone from denials to approvals with the help of tons of  MyFico forums information. First, I got approved for an 19,000.00 auto loan with a 8.99% rate -down from 12.2%, then I got my cl limit raised on my GA's Own CU Visa from 500.00 to 2000.00. (no luck on a CLI with my Cap 1 unsecured with cl of 500.00 that I've had for 2 yrs ). I got a Walmart Store card with a 400.00 limit but that's ok, I've learned  that card will grow with me quickly. And FINALLY.... I got approved for an AT&T Iphone without a deposit- after many years of trying. Now I'm going to the "garden" and work on improving my credit score. Hopefully I will be in the high 600's in 6 months. I do want to add, I have several baddies due to drop off of my CR the first half of next year but I have been paying my auto and student loans, and credit cards on time with no lates for the past 3 years... YAY ME!!!

Re: What a great week I've had!!!

Thanks everyone! I wish, I would have known the importance of having good credit when I was younger  then I wouldn't be in my 40's trying to acheive it. . I stress the importance to my kids now how important it is and I need to practice what I preach so I can be a good role model to them (credit wise).
