discover card and off brand cards been sending me pre approvals

What should i do. Im in the porcess of looking for a home. I have 1 credit card with capital one and i been with them since 08'. Discover Card and "off brand" credit card companies have been sending me pre approval letters like crazy. I just tear them up. What grabbed me though was the discover card. Arnt they up there with American express? What should I do?

Most mortgage lenders want to see at least 3 accounts open... but at the same time it's not usually a good idea to add a bunch of credit pulls and new accounts right before home shopping... Do you have at least 6 months?
