Credit increase 19 points following re-dispute) investigation
Hi first of all I just want to say thank you to everyone who replies it has been so helpful. So I disputed a $78 collection for a second time on a account for Verizon on my credit report and my score went up 19 points and there's comments on my credit report this a dispute. Any reason why the score would have went up 19 points today?
Re: Credit increase 19 points following re-dispute) investigation
FICO scoring excludes accounts that are marked as in dispute for the period of time they remain in dispute. To be clear, FICO excludes only the disputed information such as an account balance and late payments—not the entire account. So, if your dispute results in a deletion, it is possible to see an even higher score increase than the 19 pts.
