Since usaa CMS switched to monthly vs daily pulls they've posted that I was eligible for my next free pull on 11/1. So now that is 11/1 I logged on to update my report. It now says I'm eligible for a free pull on. 11/2. I know 30 days will not have passed for me until 11/9, but still they've been saying I could pull it on 11/1 for weeks now. I think it's time for me to cancel. Just seems a little shady.
I had the same issue - I pulled on 10/8, and got notification saying I'd be able to pull on 11/2. I was going to try it tomorrow...wondering now if I'll be able to? Hmm.
I like eliminateidtheft.com. The site is a bit clunky as you have to provide log in credentials several different times before you can get to your reports, but you get daily pulls of all 3. For $180/year, you get access to two people's reports. So $7.50/month/person. I use it to monitor my reports and my wife's. I can't remember if the second person has to be a spouse or if you can share it with anyone.
Today was 11/2, and my wait was over - until I cruised over to the website to find my "reports won't be eligible" until 11/3.
So what happens tomorrow? Does it jump one more day on me? ASailorShort, have you had any luck in getting your 11/2 reports?
Sure enough, today (11/2) it says I can't pull until tomorrow (11/3). Bahhumbug
I called USAA to try to either get a discounted rate and daily pulls or cancel my account. Unfortunately, because of my time zone (Hawaii) they were already closed. After much digging by myself and the CSR we were able to get their number (that was easy and readily available) and hours (not so easy to find). Their number is 866-751-1320 and they are open M-F 0730 to 2100 (9pm) CST and Sat 1000-1800 (6pm) CST.
On a related note, I noticed I was charged $24.95 for their service on my Oct bank statement, when I was charged $12.95 per month before October. I'm pretty sure that rate wasn't disclosed in the email I received in September, when they announced they were changing from daily pulls to monthly pulls. If you subscribe to USAA CMS, you might want to check your bank statment (or cc or however you paid for it)
I'm now having such difficulties with this account and their practices seem kinda shady so I'm not sure I'll stay with them even if I get the $11.22 offer.
And so it continues. Today they are again saying my report will be free tomorrow. Only 25 more minutes until they open up and I can talk to them about why they're charging me twice as much for 1/30th of the service they used to provide.
