Weird PFD response

I sent the standard PFD letter that is posted here, and today I received this.

This letter:

1) In no way answers my request
2) Makes no sense
3) References dates that are not stated
4) Gives the runaround

Can someone give me a clue on how to answer this?
Its either a carbon copy response, or the one that signed it is an idiot.  Smiley Sad

Re: Weird PFD response

They are saying 'sure, pay us' and hoping you aren't smart enough to notice that they have not assured you of any removal.  Joke is on them.

They want a check to the OC.... did you try to PFD the OC first?  They must still own the account and can probably have everything deleted properly.

Re: Weird PFD response

Astrid, they mentioned nothing about deletion on your reply letter! I would not send them anything. Mabey you need to reiterate the Payment for Deletion again to them. Good luck!

I would say if the OC has to approve it then they still own it - PFD the OC...

Re: Weird PFD response

Thanks everyone - I was so happy that Carter's replied..UNTIL I read their nonsense!

I am going to retype the letter and send it to the OC. Should I include the letter that Carter's sent me?
Would seeing that Carter's accepted the 50% settlement help them to do the same?

Re: Weird PFD response

I agree with everyone else Astrid. Start negotiating with the OC, and forget the CA.

That's how I successfully got my to med collections deleted from my CR.
