OK so Ive sent several emails and letters for good will removals on late payments with no results. How often do I need to send these, I dont want to quit cause I know in long run someone bound to remove, hopefully, but getting discouraged. I keep getting the result that they are true late payments and they cant take off the credit reports. Some for student loan that goes back to 2008, and since has not had one late payment.
I'd recommendly monthly if you're sending physical GWs and weekly if you're sending emails. GW is part luck, part persistence.
How late are the lates? If they're back from 2008, the 30 and 60 days probably have a very limited impact (if any at all) on your scores.
The student loan was from 2008 and it also has listed 120 and 180 days late, prior to forebearance. I set up auto pay on accounts in 2008. Do these have any effect on the score Since it has been that long?
Those kind of lates will affect you for 7 years. They are considered major derogatories.
I know that's why I hope to get those removed at some point. I'll keep trying. Thanks
