i need advise about having American express on my credit report.

My husband has an american express green charge card that he got 6 months ago. he added me as authorized user. I am afraid that this might be hurting my credit score having this on there? We are getting ready to buy a house and trying to boost my score for this in the next month.

1. Is this hurting the age of credit? I have several new accounts that are hurting my aging of accounts.

2. my utilization is very low at 9%. Is this affecting that because we have about 2-3k on there each month being reported.

Short answer, yes.  They also offer a pay over time option now for purchases over $100.

Amex also seems to report to CRAs before the balance is due, so it does report a balance if not paid early.
