Dang it! EQ today showed $0 cards reporting a balance

From a denial last month, I pulled my free true EQ report from their site, and all 10/10 cards showed $0 balance!! I let $5 report on Walmart last month! I always have only one card report a balance, but today they all showed $0 and FICO hates that for scoring!! Smiley Sad

I just don't understand how it happened though! Lol!! It's hard managing 10 cards, giving everyone a little luv, and then deciding which one gets the balance. Oh well...

Very sorry to hear this, but thankfully will turn around on next reporting.  If I may ask, how much did you get hit for point wise?  I ask this becasue I am kind of living on the edge as well, with just one of about 8 CC's showing a balance.

Year 2012: All Scores in the 520 range, during a foreclosure, CC Settlement and high UTIL. Very ugly days...
April 2024: EX8: 839; EQ8: 845; TU8: 842 -- Middle Mortgage Score: 822
In My Wallet: Discover $73.7K; Cap1 Venture $51.7K; Amex ED $38K; Amex Optima $2.5K; Amex Delta Gold $18K; Citi Costco $24.5K; Cap1 Plat $8.4K; Barclay $7K; Chase Amazon $6K; BoA Plat $21.6K; Citi TY Pref $22K; US Bank $4K; Dell $5K; Care Credit $6.5K. Total Revolving CL: $300K+
My UTIL: Less than 1% - Only allow about $20 a month to report, on one account. .

I'm not sure... I didn't buy the score but a denial letter from a cli a week or so ago stated I was at 659, actually up a few points. Maybe since I'm in bk derog land, my score didn't take as much??? I'm waiting to pull TU and EX also to see if it reported the same way.

What was the reason for denial?

I had reached their internal limit for my current credit score, and income. Basically I need another 30 PTs added to EQ for a cli, lol

Is that what the letter said?

Re: Dang it! EQ today showed $0 cards reporting a balance

I have been working tirelessly it feels like alternating cards and ensuring I am only reporting betwen a 1-3% balance on my reports. I am confused about is it better to leave a balance on a card (small balence)? Or have more accounts reporting without a balence?

My EQ score has not done much with reporting 0 balences over the past 4 months. I use my cards heavily each month, but PIF before due date and not use cards until their statement closes. Will my score have any affect if I go from 1% utilization to say 7 or 8%?

The fate.... Yes, it was with NFCU and it was from one on the head honcho dudes in credit, I asked for a manual review. He said my account is perfect, perfect payment history in all cards and util since bk, but their internal scores needs me higher for a cli. So I'm stuck for now until my scores improve over time.

Ddmari.... For optimal Fico scoring, it's best to have only one card report a balance of only between 1-9% each month.
