Score Watch Cancelation

I'm writing this so there will be a record of my actions, since I don't see any way to save the emails sent to customer service. Customer Service states that they respond to emails within 24 hours. I ordered Score Watch on 03-02-2013 and immediately sent an email to cancel it (within 1 hour). I've read where there are "problems" canceling this service, and since there is no email confirmation, I was worried. I sent a follow-up email on Monday, and another one a few minutes ago. That is 3 emails with no response or confirmation of receipt that I can save to show at a later date. I don't want any problems with my credit card being charged, as many here have related. I have the receipt of purchase which states "Score Watch Free Trial," so the eventuality that I pressed the wrong field as many here have also mentioned is not the case. It is now only day 4, but reading all the "horror stories" with canceling this free trial has made me nervous and anxious in receiving a "hard" response. Thanks for allowing me to post this record.

Update: I have called 1-800-319-4433 a total of 5 times, and each time I am put on hold for an unreasonably long time before I hang up. By unreasonable, I mean over 15 minutes. So, that is a total of 3 emails and 5 phone calls that remain unanswered. Furthermore, the only help I see on these boards is people saying how "easy" it was when they canceled, and keep posting the 800 number. The difficulty posts FAR outweigh the supposed "breeze" posts. I guess a charge-back or a complaint to the BBB, or both will be in order if my credit card is charged.

Final Update: OK...I called at 9:00am sharp, which is 6:00am PST and I finally got a rep. So, it seems that the only reason you are compelled to call, and they don't respond to email cancellations, is so they can try and dissuade you from cancelling. At least in this case, it was a soft-sell pitch, but i can tell that a more aggressive rep would make it uncomfortable to cancel this trial offer. I just received the cancellation confirmation email, for which I am grateful. My advice is to not send email cancellations, as they will not be answered. Since you MUST call, do so as early in the morning as possible, since it seems the wait times are less severe.

Re: Score Watch Cancelation

I'm having the same issue. I've been on hold for 25 minutes now, for the third time today. I've send e-mails with no reply. This is insane. I'd advise anyone and everyone to STAY AWAY from this website! This is the most annoying customer service experience I've ever had.

Re: Score Watch Cancelation

It should not be this difficult to cancel a simple subscription.

I will NOT be re-subscribing to Score Watch until their practices are more up to date with the times.

Calling during normal business hours is already a hassle, we should have the option to one-click cancel after logging in to our account.

On top of that I was put on hold for 15 minutes, got disconnected and had to call back just to be put on hold for another 15 minutes.

I still have not been able to reach a customer service representative and will have to try again tomorrow.  I feel bad for all those poor people on the "free" trial that are being shafted by these horrible business practices.  I'll be making a complaint to the BBB after I've cancelled by subscription here with MyFico.

Was on hold for 5 mins tops & spoke to a woman that cancelled my free trial. she did offer a $9.99 for 3 months instead of the usual $14.99, but I declined. anyways I hope this helps anyone else who wants to cancel their scorewatch free trial

Re: Score Watch Cancelation

I cancelled my subscription within a minute of reading this thread because I almost forgot about it.  Thanks, dude.

It was very easy though, unlike your experience.  I was on hold for maybe a minute and the customer service lady didn't even try convincing me to stay.  She canceled it within 30 seconds of me calling.  I probably would've taken the $10/month deal if it was offered though.

Re: Score Watch Cancelation

I've called twice and heard the high call volume recorded greeting tell me it would be 5 to 10 min yet both times was helped within 2 or 3 tops.  The reps were very nice and offered me the $9.95 lifetime deal, which I took.

The problem is that the reps don't know what they are selling.  Both times they told me I would get an automatic pull once my c/c was charged after signing up, then I'd get one to use later at any time and that these 2 pulls do not count the trial pull at the beginning.  That is not the case, you only get 2 pulls not 3.  The reps both explained that there would be a total of three. The trial start report, then the signup report, then one to use whenever.  They don't stand behind what their reps promise.
