Does anyone know what Audi's lending criteria? Are they still using Auto score 8 and which bureau?
If Audi operates the same as VW, FICO 8 Autos are used. 720--740+ get best terms. I have VW Financial experience and got best terms in 2015 with 720+. 2018 required 730+. And I have read other posts that now say 740. VW is big on TU here in Calif.
ETA: I just read some other Audi posts on here from 2017 and 2018 and it seems they may be more lenient than above. Not sure if my info is helpful
I leased an Audi S4 in December 2020 they pulled all 3 (EQ,TU,EX).
Thanks for the feedback.
I run Audi Dealer. Audi uses tiers based on score range. Tier 1 is 700+. They will use highest score of ANY of the bureaus. They have really good financing for business, allow u to pay payments in advance, and have fairly competitive rates. If you have bad credit their rates are extremely generous if you can get approved.
Thanks for the info. Is that Fico 8 700+?
Yes. Auto.
Thanks
So I used MyFico to get a better grasp on Audi Financing so even though this is late I want to put it here for help to future people researching. My credit score ranges based on pulled, and at the moment my DTI is about 28% but I have little credit card lines so I tend to show high usuage. I went to Audi because my boyfriend drives an S6 and has had Audi's since he was 16. He wanted me to test drive something there before I got into a Benz. Mercedes wouldn't Finance me without a co-signer, which I bought a house without one so I was a little Po'd. I test drove the new Q3 Premium Plus and fell in love. Side note the Benz GLB was cheaper than the Audi Q3 Premium Plus. This was also for a lease not finance. They pulled TU and Experian FICO 8
When I tell you it was the easiest car I have bought, I will never not drive a Audi because the process was semless. I went test drove a few cars. Left the dealership, did my credit app online on a Saturday, they called me Monday to let me know I was approved. No Co-signer needed. My payment was about 25 bucks higher than negotiated but expected that with credit score/history. I e-signed everything online so when I went to the dealership they needed 3 wet signatures and that was it. I was in and out of the dealership in literally 20 mins. If you have semi-ok credit with some bad on it I would def recommend giving Audi a Try. It is also a good idea to find a Salesman who cares and will fight for you so if you can build a good relationship with someone you can buy cars from for years to come, like our Audi guy.
To all,
Here are some datapoints from 2 days ago based on personal experience. I asked for "Audi Financing Services"
and was very diligent about not running a ton of inquiries. With that being said, the dealership did initally pull
under their AUDI dealership name against EQ and EX FICO AUTO 8 Score. I even went through the trouble of
showing them my current AUTO FICO 8 scores from that day so they had a great idea about their choices rather
than pulling.
People, please don't make the mistake of trusing just your FICO 8, FICO 9 score. Do you research and figure out
the actual number they are pulling. Either way, Approved for an AUDI Q8 55 Prestige with all the options.
A day or two later, I did have two hard pulls. 1 from the dealership and 1 from VW Credit. Obvisouly this will
consolidate in 45 days and should show as 1 pull but it did not change my score at all.
Biggest thing to consider here is your DTI and score factors. Anything in the 740+ tier will get you great financing.
I ended up at 2.99% for 72 months on $111,000.
