Capital One Auto - Declined but no pull?

Short back story. Came out of BK this week with my discharge. Figured I see if I could get a 10-15k auto loan with Capital One Blank Check.

Submitted and got an instant decline. Said I'll get letter in two weeks. However, a day later and there is still no hard inquiry on any of the three CRs. I updated all three today.

Could it be because Cap One was IIB and was discharged so soon that it was an instant (and I mean instant, like within five seconds of hitting submit) rejection?

I can't imagine inquiries take a day to show up on our CR? I can see the inquiry from me pulling my own report the same day, so, is this normal?

I think that's pretty unusual. While there's a chance they never pulled, it doesn't seem like something COAF would do or I've heard of them doing personally.

Give it a week or two and check again. Sometimes there is indeed a delay.

Got ya!

Thanks.  Still no update as of today - would have assumed it would be quicker than that (kinda hoping it doesn't show up so I don't have a wasted HP while trying to get a new car).

Will see what happens.

I think that's what happened.   You are on the Cap1 Blacklist since you burned them so recently.   If you're blacklisted, many creditors won't even pull your CR, they'll just immediately decline your application.

Thanks!  I figure thats what has to happen since it happened so fast.

I have read of others using Cap One Auto even after buring them with cards IIB - guess I just jumped the gun.

Yep, I think you just applied too soon.   Pretty sure they'll take you back at some point, they don't seem to hold grudges forever.   YMMV.
