FInance options questions

Fico up to 689 within the last two months. Looking for a 2008-2009 Acura MDX with the technology package. Local credit union nearly guarantees financing but only for 4 years. At $17-18k i would like 5-6years as there are several SUV's I've found under 100,000 miles. Have 2-3k to put down. DTI is 23%. I've looked at DCU and plan to call them tomorrow morning. Try Penfed or others? Open to recommendations and please let me know if I left anything out. Thanks.

Re: FInance options questions

What bureau are the 689 and 696 from? Experian, Equifax, or Transunion?

(Also as a side note what's this redit Score you talk about? If there's a lender using scores that have anything to do with redit, please let me know so I can quickly short their stocks. Smiley Wink )

Honestly, if those scores are EQ, this is DCU all the way. Don't look anywhere else. As long as they pull a 675+ EQ, you'll get 1.24% for 65 months with direct deposit.

Penfed is good, but their underwriting criteria is MUCH harder than DCU. Doubt you'd qualify for their best scores. I recommend calling DCU tomorrow and seeing what they do. Say you need a car ASAP, so you wanted to call in and see if they could help. Also keep in mind, many here recommend to apply for membership and get that approved (over phone if they're slow) before applying for a DCU car loan.

Re: FInance options questions

Thanks Remember. I had a Typo. Equifax is 696 as of Thursday when I received an alert. I'm impressed as I havent checked my score in 3 years but also havent had a car note in about 6 aside from my motorcycle at $125 a month. My current Acura TL is 12 years old  with 208,000 miles and it's time for something more up to date which I'll drive forever.

Re: FInance options questions

Awesome. Try DCU first and foremost. I have the feeling you'll be fine for 1.24% for 65 months with direct deposit (1.74% w/o dd). Best deal around anywhere that I know.
