This is not a stupid question. I've been there and done that.
I had a repo back in 2005. Scores took a big hit. I think it was more than 50 points, can't remember exactly because I was at the lowest point of my life. I let credit cards to go 60 days late, cell phone bill go to collection, I was worried about everything because I had no income.
I was so terrified the day the repo man knocked my door. I didn't open the door for hours and he parked his truck right in front of my car and waited. I eventually came out to face him. It happened that he was very courteous and gave me 10 minutes to take my belongings out of the car.
I asked him what I could do to get it back, he told me that I SHOULD have called Honda and worked something out such as selling the car back or have the dealer help sell the car for me instead of ignoring calls and letting it be repossessed.
Well, I hope that you will pull through. Remember it is difficult but it's not the end of the world.
Best of luck!
