Re: Rapid Rescore.

Im actually waiting for this exact same thing as well. When do credit card companies update your credit report?

My guess was when your new statement comes in so i was planning on checking my score middle of the month

Re: Rapid Rescore.

I usually just called the company and ask. The standard answer from my experience is 30 days.

Re: Rapid Rescore.

As PNP states, it's pretty random to my knowledge, and typically things get updated once a statement cycle.

You can call in and ask, you may get it, you may not.

You can try silly tricks like updating your address in the online interface, they may update your tradeline, they may not.

Rapid rescore is usually a service provided for mortgages, and it costs money too is my understanding of it.  It's hard if not impossible for a customer to directly initiate it, though some have reported success with individual lenders by asking.

Re: Rapid Rescore.

Your balance will update around the statement is generated. However, this is not guaranteed.

Unfortunatly you are left in a bad position because you did not plan ahead enough. You should get your finances in tip top shape before even starting your loan shopping. Sorry

Re: Rapid Rescore.

from what i've read..

- credit cards report approx 3 business days after the closing date.

---- one of my cards that ended aug 3 has posted already..  score went up 6 points. i'm waiting for my other card to post, which doesnt close until aug 25.

read elsewhere that only mortgage lenders offer Rapid Rescore..

just called my orchard credit card, and the rep said she never heard of Rapid Rescore.

Just sit patiently and wait for things to report.

Re: Rapid Rescore.

Credit card #3 closes it's statement today so I'll be checking my scores by Friday to see if they are reporting a $0. balance from last month's $745. Then it will be time to refi and send out a few cc apps.  Based on what I've seen while watching my accounts over the last 6 weeks, they usually post a few days after the statement closes.

Re: Rapid Rescore.

I have decided to "slow -my-roll" and wait for my reports to update on the 26th or so...... did a little more investigating at my credit union and found out that ny waiting 12 more days that I would potentially save approx $4,000 in interest charges on a purchase of one of the new 4runners.... 12 days wait to save  4k ......ABSOLUTELY !!
