I know I can see my TU auto scores on MyFico, but does anyone know of another way to see them without having to pay for a new report? My report isn't set for an update until Feb 28th. I just had an account removed from my report for an old auto loan that had some late payments from a military deployments then eventually showed as charged off. The balance was paid to 0, but it was still holding my auto scores down. TU was kind enough to do a 6 month early exclusion and I just had 6 myfico notifications that my score went up (not a huge amount but I'll take it!) and that I had a negative account removed. I was contemplating trading in my vehicle but then decided not to. Now I am curious what my TU auto scores are. If I can get a better rate, I might just go ahead.
Congrats on the early removal!
Not aware of any other way. I know I'm stating the obvious but 2/28 is not that far off and if you're not willing to wait, for the type of purchase or re-fi you're thinking about the cost of an off cycle one time pull may be worth it. Also do you know if the auto score from TU will be used in the credit decision?
If someone is in the position to make a large purchase such as a car or home, I personally think the $50+ cost to pull a full report is worth it to see all scores so you know and prepared for a different score and/or bureaus being used. Then you can ask the lender (if they know) and allow that to be 1 factor you can use in your decision of who to finance with.
I think you you actually get a discount for an off cycle pull if you have a subscription.
