Even though all three bureaus show the Chp 13 from 5 years ago, only 2 of them show some of our past revolving accounts that we closed prior to filing for BK. TU only shows 2 accounts right now, the CH13 and the 11 mo old car loan. Equifax and Experian show some of our older accts we had prior to filing so they show much older established credit. I'm confident that the TU will wake up once we get some new revolving accts reporting. Maybe they penalize more for a weak mix of credit types.
Got my discharge paperwork and refund check in the mail today WHOOOOOHOOOO.... Im excited as ever. Question, i see that it still shows on my CR, will this be for minimum 2 years or so? I'm guessing I should first get a secured card but Im also in desperate need of a work vehicle as well.....
TU = 569
EF = 690

Congratulations! Still waiting on our papers. A Chp 13 will report 7 years from date of filing.
My papers seem so far away. Made the last payment on 10/3. Plenty of time to clear and post to my NDC. When they disbursed payments on the 20th they only sent the regular amount that is sent from payroll deductions. When I called they said they didnt see the $3000 and won’t disburse that until 11/17. They them asked for proof of how I got the extra money to pay off early even though my attorney already okd the payment. Thankfully I had a copy of the check my dad gave me and a copy of his death certificate. I guess I’m now looking at 2018 because I live in Illinois were everything stalls during the holidays. I just hope my car holds up because I’ve spent over $5000 in repairs since February. Meanwhile my scores are sucking. 638/569/582. Ex dropped 24 points after I disputed 2 items and it reposted my BK for some reason. Totally bummed.
Well I was in need of a vehicle as my 04 truck had 275k miles on her but she held out until the end, no real issue outside of a few parts here and there. I was able to get another vehicle 16' F150 from Carmax (horrible rate) of course but I will slowly get those rates back under control as time passes. Thing is when I went in I had discharge paperwork, paystubs, any and everything you could think of to show them and they asked for nothing. Ran credit, 500 down and it was a done deal.
Congrats on the new ride! My 2006 F150 Crewcab Lariat is running strong with 150k. Contemplating an upgrade to a 2015 or newer F150 4x4 but can't stomach going from no truck payment to $600/mo payment. I'm sort of enjoying my 11% DTI at the moment. I work from home and only drive about 6,000 miles per year now so it's hard to justify.
I have not recieved my Chp 13 DC papers yet, however I got an alert from myFICO today. TU updated to show my BK as discharged and a 5 point bump. Equifax also showing DC but no bump. Best news I've had in awhile. I am so ready to start pestering my family to add me as AU to good established, low balance cards before applying for some of my own.
Look at you. I'm so happy because I know how relieved you must feel to finally close that door. Step in to the future of great credit and living within your means. I can tell you that my attorney allowed me to get a secured card (Open Sky) and it has helped my scores jump about 30 points. My fake score from Credit Karma today shoed 700 and 721. I like to look at them just to tease myself. The real one's tell the story. Please continue to post your experiences as you rebuild.

So today marks one month since I confirmed my last payment had paid my trustee balance in full. I checked the mailbox today to find the most beautiful court order from my attorney.
"The Debtor is hereby granted a discharge under section 1328(a) of title 11, United States Code."
Sweeter words have never been written. Time to get weird!
Congrats to you and best wishes on your new debt free journey! You deserve it. Let me know when you hit the 700 club or if the discharge improved your scores. Stay Weird!
