How long it takes for Chapter 7 ?

I am debating if I should file for Chapter 7 and clear my debts. How long it takes for the Chapter 7 to complete ?

I filed on May 18th. I was discharged on July 28th.

Thanks. Did you hire an Attorney to help you ? I am debating filing Chapter 7 vs. hire a credit consolidation company and see if I can settle them.

It all comes down to how much you owe, can afford to pay, etc.

If you pass the Means Test and qualify for Ch7 and are unable to pay ~50% of your debts,  Ch7 is definitely the way to go.  I hired an attorney in January 2017, filed in May, discharged in September.  Greatest decision I've ever made (aside from marrying my wife ).  Attorney will run you ~$3500 which in my case was absolutely worth it

I filed in June 2017 and discharged September 2017. I used an attorney and he was $1,200. Worth every penny

I filed Chapter 7 in December 2010.  Went to the small hearing in January 2011 and bankruptcy was discharged on March 16 2011.  Well worth the money if you have a lot of debt.  I paid $1200 for my Attorney as well.
