NFCU Question

So, we aren't real happy with our local CU. I've tried talking to them about rebuilding post DC, and they've basically been not at all helpful. They aren't burned for anything, we've only ever had our checking and savings there, in good standing. Never even been overdrafted.

My dad is retired active duty Army, so I checked the locations tab on NFCU, and they pinged to a CoVantage CU branch in town. Is NFCU using other CU locations? If so, this may be a great option for us! Seems NFCU is far better to deal with than Valley will be in the future.

Re: NFCU Question

I did the same map as you on their website. Thats for free ATM's in the Antigo, WI area.

Re: NFCU Question

Unfortunately Antigo is almost 2 hours away.

Now Oshkosh/Appleton is golden since I work there, but I'm not too worried about atm's. The couple times a year I pull cash, I can eat the fee.

I'm thinking more along the lines of those times where you need to go to a branch, like cash deposits and such. Or signing loan papers.

Re: NFCU Question

NFCU is an excellent CU. With thier size, they offer an excellent online banking package. You only need to go to the branch to deposit cash. I have been able to do everything online or through the mail. I did open my account in the branch.

The nearest Navy Federal branch is an hour away, so I only go to deposit cash if I absolutely need to. Fortunately for me, my local CU offers free ACH transfers, and that is how I move money into in NFCU. Also I have part of my paycheck direct  deposited in NFCU, so I can take advatage of the higher rates. As for the ATM issue, I just get cash at the grocery store.
