Re: NFCU questions

I received the details on my cap1 application decision:

•based on your application information, there are too many past/or present Capital One obligations

Of course this is incorrect. Me and hubs burned them, car loan $346.50 and 2 cc not totaling 2k. My DW burned them $300. I'm thinking a letter may clear this up and I might have a shot . Or should I wait. They also said my credit score was not impacted which I'd a good thing.

Re: NFCU questions

Because you burned them in the BK that is considered a past obligation. I got that same message everytime I applied for six months straight after my bk was discharged. They wont pull your credit so you are good there.  6 months post discharge and i was instantly approved for 500. It takes Cap one some time but you will get back in with them.

Re: NFCU questions

Heltmeraiseit is 100% correct. I was denied when I applied after my bankruptcy. I did not get approved until after a year post bankruptcy.

Don't worry, There are other cards out there.

Hang in there it will get better.

Re: NFCU questions

Thanks! Y'day I went for it and submitted a recon request. Not sure what will come of it but the worst they can say is no, again. They said it may take up to 3 weeks for determination. He said most likely it won't and to call back for the answer sooner, like next week
