If I were you, I would first look through my discharge paperwork (if discharged) or Bk petition if not yet discharged and look for your Comenity Cards to insure they all where in fact IIBK. This and speaking to your attorney is the only way to know at this point. If the debt was included you shouldn’t worry, if the collection company tries contacting you then simply re-route them to contact your Bk lawyer. Hope this helps!
Received an alert about remark changes on some accounts. Went to look and that account that I was worried about is now reporting IIB and also BK DC'd. So, now I'm very relieved! Whew!
According to our attorney, the original creditor and all collection agencies should be listed in the bankruptcy petition, if they are known. However, if they are not, as long as the original creditor is listed, that debit is IIB regardless of when it was purchased or who it was purchased by. If you find differently, I would put a call into your attorney.
