Hey Gals and or Lads, I just had a couple questions for someone that is more knowledgeable than myself. I Just got my final Chap7 discharge 12/9/17 (Thank The Lord). After the discharge, I Immediately got a Discover secured card (I Have a banking relationship with discover). After the approval and funding the account. I Checked myfico score. I noticed all my scores shows 9 accounts that are 90+ Late. I have never been late on anything and I pride myself on this. When put under the microscope it seems Experian is the one showing these as 90+Days Late. All of these were in the leading months of my bankruptcy being processed my original petition date was early sept. So all the accounts included in bankruptcy show lates for September, October, and November. This is not the correct way it should be reporting correct? I actually tried to keep my balances current but as soon as the electronic petition was sent I got locked out of half of my accounts or they were already closed. So my biggest question is are these disputable? I have disputed them online but they are taking quite a bit of time without a response yet. And the weirdest thing is if i go to the other 2 bureaus website to make a dispute they do not show any late payments etc. but on my fico it shows all 3 bureaus are reporting this (When I use something like credit karma who doesn't report from exp/eq there are "No late payments " On all of my IIB accounts" this is all just a big mess :/. I am also currently looking into buying a different used vehicle as I am starting to be very underwater (Owe 22 only worth about 14-16k at most) in my current vehicle and would like to get out from under the sinking ship asap. Thanks so much for any input you can offer. And if you have any suggestion about post-bankruptcy auto financing I am going to try to fill the gap of equity to what I owe now with the current vehicle. But the new vehicle would be the same pricing (18k Area)
Thanks for the response! No Never late prior to the petition being sent I believe one card Had a min due on like the 28th of the month I filed in. And obviously like everyone else's attorney here he told me not to make any payments and I was actually trying to avoid this scenario it was a capital one card and as soon as the petition was sent electronically they locked all my accounts and would not even show me the balance just "Unavailable " on the site. so even if I wanted to make my minimum it did not allow me to. but From what you're saying that one would be correct but the October/Nov/dec would not.....that make's sense in some form I suppose hate that I'm being punished for late payments knowing it was not even capable of being paid
