Capitalontap app question

I know this is basic and I've researched it but still don't know what's best.  I've owned my business (single member LLC) for several years and always used my SSN.  I received a preapproval for capitalontap and tried to fill it out but it required a TIN that I don't have.  Should I get one?  Do I need one for anything else?  I don't have to have a card for my business but thought it would be helpful if I did.  Everything I've read said a TIN wasn't necessary for my business.

EIN is helpful for those business apps that don't use personal credit for decisions.

I am a sole prop but still have had an EIN for over 13 years.

My accountant said it may be useful for not only credit, but if I hire someone.

It certainly is helpful to get one and the process is painless--it takes mere moments. I have a single-member LLC and have a EIN. I'm glad I do, because I'm about to hire a VA and want to ensure none of that is tied to my SSN.

I personally think it's a good practice to have one.

My business is a sole proprietorship  and I got my EIN too like the other posters. It doesn't take very long at all. Super easy.
