Does AMEX Centurion BUSINES Card AU carry over to personal?

Question: IF I got added as an AU on AMEX Business black card, would the CRA's pick that up? Does business cross over to personal?

I have no idea how utilization could possibly be calculated on a card that the sky is the limit?

I am wondering if getting officially added as an AU would be helpful - the card last year we spent $1.5 million on it...

I do use the card but am not officially an AU...

Anyone know? any advice.

If it is a corporate card, it usually will not show, however, it seems what you are talking about is a Black Business card which was initially backed by someones SS# along with bus EIN.  In that case, when they add you as AU, amex will most likely ask for DOB or SS#, which will then be reported.  The only amex cards that are not reported to personal CR are corporate accounts, however, I have heard of exceptions...

Mine does.  Its not black, its platinum, however, It does report to my personal report and it DID ask for my SS# on the application, not sure if they changed it recently.

Re: Does AMEX Centurion BUSINES Card AU carry over to personal?

My husband had a corporate green card. It didn't report, and he didn't get any goodies, although he was responsible for paying. We called AmEx, and they said that if he wanted to pay the annual fee, he would get the benefits, and it would report.

He didn't (he's too cheap Smiley Very Happy ), and now his employer has canceled the program, due to too many people screwing up their payments. Oh, well.

Anyway, it seems to depend on how the employer set things up. I'd call and ask if the employee's card can report to his/her personal reports, and then if the same would happen with an AU.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm a little surprised that one can be an AU on a corporate card. Maybe for an officer of the corporation, but for regular employees?

Oh yeah, AMEX loves you to issue employees cards.  The company is responsible for the charges (the individual can be held responsible if the company fails to pay, technically as well).  They get the increased use and they charge an AF for each card issued.

Re: Does AMEX Centurion BUSINES Card AU carry over to personal?

In fact, his employer (a state university) just canceled their affiliation with American Express. Too many employees were not paying their accounts, as they were required to do, and I guess AmEx started going after the university, which barely has enough money these days to hire a grad student to teach Western Civ. His bill was never once paid by his employer --this over a 21 or so year period.

As I understand it, the arrangement was that the employee was always the first one responsible for paying the bills, and the distant fall-back was the employer (university.) DH's job involved a lot of travel, so he wore that card out for work, hotels and other per diem expenses. But he also used it for personal purchases, without a squeak from the employer. He could have cleaned up had he been willing to pay the $35 or whatever it was to have it report to his reports and get the points, but no. Chacun a son gout --he's completely uninterested in rewards programs and whatnot from CC's. He'd use his debit card for everything if I didn't occasionally poke him in the ribs. Smiley Tongue

An AmEx Business card reports to your personal?  exactly which platinum business card is it?
