I signed up for D&B Credit Builder on discount. I figured I would thicken my file since I see some tradelines not reporting. The tradelines reporting had minor mistakes, like they had not updated in a few months so I disputed them thinking D&B would verify and update.....NOPE.
THEY TOTALLY DELETED ALL OF MY TRADELINES.
I woke up this morning to an empty report. I'm so annoyed. I have tradelines I can submit but it sucks that they completely delete it, which I think is just a plow to get you to spend more money. This trek was only supposed to be for a month and then I was going to cancel but I supposed I'm stuck for at least 2 months now to make sure my tradelines report. My paydex went from a perfect 80 to a 50 in less than 48 hours. ![]()
I have a new business and was just about to sign up for D&B but I will avoid that now.
Edit: I deleted my question. I should have searched rather than asked.
Credit Signal is free. It let's you know if people are checking your report and if there are significant changes. I forget the name of the service that's like $50 a month.
Credit Builder is a little less than $100 but don't listen to the people on the phone. They will try to sell you the annual service because they want to lock you in. D&B is actually a good service to have in the beginning but it's definitely not anything you need for more than 3-4 months. Outside of that, it's not necessary.
Thanks. I will take a look at it. Sorry to hear what they did to you. I have a tradeline that is not consistant too. Its annoying but since I am a Sole Prop its not that big of a deal I guess.
Unless you need to do government contracts I would NEVER pay for D&B... Most banks if they still use it will at least back up to a business EQ or EX too so that you won't have flat out denial issues with just a incomplete D&B.
That's the issue. I'm getting declined because my D&B file is thin. My EQ and EX files only report about half of my credit lines. D&B is only reporting half of my tradelines. I need these files to be thick or I'll never get this Sams MC.

Sync pulls EQ
For the Sam's they pull EQ and D&B. Both files are thin.
I'm sorry that happened to you
They called me last week and tried to sell me the heck out of their product and I kept telling them no. The woman actually said at the end "It'll just be easier, what credit card will you be using...." I then hung up ![]()
I had the woman literally lie to me, telling me that the service I wanted was no longer offered and that it was $150 bucks monthly but the yearly for 900 was great for me.. I scored it for $95 bucks from the website. I only plan to keep it 1-2 months.
