Sam's Club Business Mastercard #2

The "#2" in the title does mean that we were issued a second Sam's Business Mastercard. We are Type 1 so have the lowest rates on both cards. The first card is from 2018 and has a $15,000 limit and I could never get it increased. I just applied for the Business Mastercard via the Sam's Club website and was instantly approved for $10,000.

I did not know that they would allow two Mastercard accounts to one business. Unfortunately, this one I had to do a personal guarantee (as I didn't see the option on the screen to not have a PG).

Data Points:

D&B PAYDEX: 80

Experian Biz: A

Equifax Biz: B

Personal Score: 700+

Inquiries on Transunion: LOL/24 (HARD PULL FROM TRANSUNION)

Thanks for sharing @BizCreditHunter

To the best of my past knowledge, you could only apply for the Sam Club Business card in person at the store on a tech device....there was no way to apply online from your home/office.

Can you tell me, did they do a HP on your personal?  You noted it had to be PG so I'm curious if they did a HP to approve you or not and I also wonder if you can bypass the PG if you go to the store to apply...like how I was familiar.

Any additional details would be great

AND.....WooHoo!! Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂

It was a soft-pull pre-approval but a hard pull after. I don't know which came first or if they ever really did the "alleged" soft-pull. They pulled my personal Trans Union, and the D&B and Equifax Business Risk scores.

As I wrote above, I didn't see any way to bypass the PG with the online application.

Hard Inquiry on TU is listed as SYNCB/SAMSBR. They also tried to do a hard inquiry on my EX as EXPERIAN BUSINESS CRED.

Bypassing PG needs a store application.  PG choice is on the downloadable application form.

Thank you for sharing this. Have been waiting for the online application.

Took the hit on transunion...

Approved with Temporary Credit Line $5000.00.

Mine was the same... temporary credit line of $5,000 plus $30 rebate if purchased something within 30 days (or something like that).

Re: Sam's Club Business Mastercard #2

Decided to step through the online app and noticed when the EIN field actually has my SS number in it, instead of my business EIN and since I didn't PG both my Sams business cards (Store & MC) I'm trying to figure out how they have my SS number and pre-filling the field with it.  I am also starting to wonder if this is the reason I've been denied a CLI the last 2 times I've asked for one, with letter sighting my business type is high risk and a few other BS reasons that make no sense.  I'm calling them next week to see why they have my SS number on a business liability only account that I never gave them my ss one.
