16 cards in 3 months but Always denied....

Hello, Im super sad I’m always denied when applying for an Amazon credit card. I received my first card in March and now I have so many inquiries (atleast 20 on all TU,EQ not sure about EX ) I can’t get approved for the card I really want (Amazon credit card). I’ve tried 2x with no luck. How long should I wait before applying again? Around what credit score is needed or will I have to wait years since my inquiries are so high?

Here’s the cards I was approved for in the last 3 months.

Well, you've added a lot in the last 3 months. You need to garden for awhile, I'd say a year at least before you apply for anything else. And if you're wanting the Chase version of the Amazon card, you need to garden for 2 years to be under 5/24.

Does that include applying for credit limit increases as well? Or Just applying for new cards?

Too many store cards too. I would start getting rid of those. Unless you really shop a lot in those places no use in keeping them.

This is why it is important to only apply for cards that you want and that will be useful to you. It looks like you’ve applied for every card you came across. Now you’ve got yourself jammed up for a few years.

I shop at all those places except helzberg maybe twice a year.

Yeah you definitely need to let your reports cool off. As stated, the Amazon Visa is backed by Chase, and due to the 5/24 rule you’re out of the running for at least 21 months (they won’t approve you if you’ve opened 5 accounts in the last 24 months). The Amazon store card will be in reach sooner as that’s backed by Synchrony I believe, but yeah you shouldn’t apply for anything other than CLIs that are approved via soft pull. No new HPs for a year at the very least.

That is quite the recent collection of cards.  I really don't think you are in the clear just yet of keeping some of the ones that you have.  Even if your credit score is perfect, you can still be denied credit.  Too many new accounts and too many inquiries are some of those reasons that people find themselves denied.  I would cool it for at least a year while developing a positive payment history on the ones that you have.
