2 Cards. Keep going or lay low.

Quick and Easy question.

1 Month ago I was approved for Captiol One Secured Credit Card. Paid 49.00 Deposit and was approved 200.

3  Days ago I was Denied for Capitol One Quicksilver Visa.

2 Days ago I was Approved for Capitol One Quicksilver MasterCard.

Lowest Credit Score is 591. Highest Credit Score is 612. (Last year 420)

I Have about 10 Hard pulls ranging from September 2014 to Present. (Most were in the begining of this year)

3 baddies that I am in the process of trying to clean up.

I have read on here that 3 bank cards is the starter and what you need to start rebuilding credit. Should I apply for a 3rd card now? Or wait a few months and try again? If I do apply for a third card. What card is reccomended?

That's what I figured. That was my game plan. But I like to confirm things with you guys before I make a decision. (Forum advice has been working like gold)

Excellent.. With these 2 cards and baddies removed, you will see a jump in score and that will get you some good cards.  So don't apply for anything and keep cleaning up.

Re: 2 Cards. Keep going or lay low.

I'd go with SDFCU secured card. No HP and it'll report quickly to all 3 CA's. I don't believe they report as "secured" either. You also get their best APR rate which is 6.99%, and this could open doors for you to get an unsecured card with them later. This would give you a 3rd account and without a HP. That would be my game plan. If you don't mind another HP, than you could go with any major bank.

SDFCU reports as secured, but don't let that stop you. It's only a SP and they are easy to deal with.
