So Its been 30 days since my application was approved for the venture, and after reading people getting a second after 30 days I went ahead and pulled the trigger.
It churned for a second and said sorry blah blah blah
Interesting thing is, there arent any inquiries on any of my monitors, and I have myfico, equifax and experian.
Finally today I got an email saying I could view the letter why via email, and I login only to see no letter at all.
Is this a case of applying to soon and I need to wait a few more days? While I was approved 6/19, I didnt actually activate the card until 7/4, so maybe thats it?
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it!
Thanks!
I'm thinking it may be because I had applied to the QS on 6/23 and the venture on 6/19, so it may be 30 days past the QS app???

It was probably that second app on the 23. I would wait a few more days and see what happens. Also, did you check the prequals first? Some people report that they check their prequalified offers after 30 days and if you get any offers with a set APR, then that means you're prequalified again and have better odds of getting approved.
Thanks Omar - I was approved for the Venture card a couple week ago, activated this past weekend (7/18), and when I go to the pre-qual site now, it does not show me being pre-qualified for any Cap1 Cards when prior to my Venture card app, I was pre-qual's for Venture, Venture One, and QS. I guess I should wait as well?
I would. Like I said with mine, it didnt even pull any reports, or post any denial reasons.
I'm going to wait until Friday when it will be 31 days since the QS approval and see what happens. Will advise!!
I applied for my first venture (prequalified) and was approved. It was about 30 days later and my second venture also showed as prequalified. I applied and was approved for that one as well. For a few days it still showed I was still prequalified, but when I check now it shows as nothing. It could be that I already have 5 cards with CapitalOne.

Yes I would wait at least 2, if not 3 weeks and then go back and check prequals.
