@toruchina

I just downloaded the app on my phone an hour ago, did all the registration, etc. I would have to assume it's the most recent version.

Hmm, that's strange. So you opened your app, clicked the drop down on the top left hand size, and selected the "payments" button?

Correct. And the screenshots I showed are what I see on that page. This is the Android version v4.250.10002

I've thumbed through the rest of the options on the app and I still see nothing which would lead me to the credit card app. Closest thing I see is when I go to Settings>Rewards> Visa Local Offers , but when I tap on that it is simply to earn uber cash when I use any eligble Visa card that I may have added as a payment method on my payment list. But again, nothing to Apply for the Uber Visa card.

I wonder if you had to of actually used Uber before you can get the card?

Surely not.  "No Purchase Necessary", right? I've never heard of any card requiring anything like that.

Ah interestingly, if I log out of my account (on the same app) and register a new account, I don't see the offer, and my page starts looking like yours.

Maybe they do require at least some time having used the apps, since it's targeted towards their customers?

Hmmm, well maybe I need to give the app some time then. Won't need the link to the credit card app until mid-April anyway, so I'll keep an eye on it over the next 3-4 weeks. Thanks for the research and checking that out for me!

Another interesting find, is that Uber has no customer service line that I could find....Other than the emergency 800 number that seems to be only for passengers in need of help. Wouldn't want to call that for app assistance.

Re: 3-Card App Spree - Need some solid advice

I actually just created a new Uber account and when I go to View All Offers under Payments I do have the option to apply.

No idea what’s wrong.

Yeah I've heard their CS is not that great. But i"ll be looking forward to if you get there!

Have you already applied to the Chase card?

@Saeren

Well hell. Going to try to uninstall the app on my phone and reinstall. If that doesn't work, I'll try to delete the account and start an entirely new account under a different email. And if all that doesn't work.....then I may just send the Uber Visa to my trash pile and find an alternative. Because if the app and the customer service for Uber is this shady......I'd hate to see the dark side of the credit card.

@toruchina

I haven't applied for any of the ones I've discussed in this thread yet. The spree will likely be mid-April. But Chase Freedom will be my first one, thanks to the advice of some outstanding forum members.

Was looking like:

1- Chase Freedom

2- Barclay Uber Visa

3- US Bank Cash+

4- Possibly Citi Costco Anywhere (depending how the others went)

But the Barclay Uber is on its way to getting on my blacklist. We shall see.
