3rd Amex app went on hold, applied 5 days after first 2 approvals

Last Friday i was approved for a charge and revolver.. Yesterday decided to pupl the trigger on another charger and app went to "in progress" status. Anyone knows, is it 5 business days delay or 5 week days between apps? Thanks!

@Orestus,

This thread -http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Did-I-cancel-my-pending-Amex-app-on-time/m-...

You applied for the same thing after your approvals and cancelled it.  If you applied again yesterday, STOP if you want to keep your current approved Amex cards.  You don't want to be flagged as a fraud for applying and cancelling.  You also acknowledge you are better off waiting so why are you applying in such a hurry?

Is the card an absolute must have?

5 days after the app was processed for the first revolver, they will process the second revolver app with another HP.

Happened to me last month, approved for all 3 Amex cards.

I don't mean any harm but why are you pushing so hard. You got 2 cards. That's like winning $1000 on a slot machine and then trying to win more instead of being happy with your luck and walking away.

The only downside to credit forums is it pumps people up to push the envelope in getting a lot of credit too quickly and that spooks many lenders. Your file is not very strong. You don't have the leverage to push the envelope too hard at this point.I would just pay what you have and spend the next 3-4 months getting cli's when you are eligible.
