Nice to meet you as well and I look forward to a reply I am not sure as I don't even know what the 5/3 is referring to but I am intrigued to learn as much as possible from here so far it has helped a ton
Oh you are perfectly fine I was up in the 750's then did a few crazy things dropped it down to upper 6's and now building back and learning a lot along the way so I get it I started out in the 5's so I am like you and the more I am learning the more I am going a little addicted to credit hahaha. But it's been awesome to learn what I have and just wish I knew it sooner I started early 2018 and can't wait to hopefully 800's
Ooooooh that's awesome I didn't know lower apr was an option either and yes I do too I started out with a low 1k limit and was denied my first attempt at increase but that is because I didn't know Amex is a little behind on the FICO and they go based off what theirs says not the current smh but you live and learn my next increase is able for request in May so I am excited for that and know what to look out for now and that is a crazy difference hahah! I look forward to the 5 digits soon! I opened both my new cards and did an increase on my secured to unsecured and refinanced all at once to help with my AAoA although it sucked at first it's building back pretty fast and I was approved for a Mortgage last month which I'm still finding the right home now so I know the Mortgage scores are spot on as my lender said the middle score exactly from myFICO I was like YUP that's it! Haha this place is awesome.
Any drop is a good drop that is good to know!

Applied from a pre qualified letter for Trio. The message wasn’t an instant approval or denial. I called 5/3 and I dont have a pre existing account so they said they could give no details.
A day later they HP my trans union. After a week I got a letter today, at its only a copy of my TU score and how to understand it, my score was 783.
Calling the number for 5/3 it says enter your ss number, when I do so it then says to enter your account number. If i try a bogus ss number it says please try again so I must have an account?
Whats anyone else’s experience with how long it takes to get an answer from them?
Also anyone care to share what cl you have with them, im hoping for atleast 10k because I plan a balance transfer of 2500 and I want utilization to be as low as can be.
Also, this is my first post ever. Happy to meet you all!
Welcome to the forum! I have a 5/3 Trio card and got it in Sept 2017. This bank is a bit archaic when it comes to communicating approvals/denials. If you're approved (and based on stats and pre-qualified offer you likely will be, but YMMV), they will not give you the SL over the phone but will make you wait until the card arrives. Mine arrived about 8-9 days after I submitted it online.
Even the card+letter is funky. The CL will show behind the card after you peel it off the paper (took me like 10min to figure it out lol). I was approved with a similar score and got $15,000 right out of the gate. I had no prior relationship with them and mine was a cold app (no pre-qualified letter or invitation). My profile then was a bit denser than yours, but most folks find decent returns with Fifth-Third. Good luck and you should find out something soon!
