50k MR points showing up early on Amex

According to my recent activity, I've ran through over $942 through my PRG and have $20 of charges pending. I haven't gotten to the $1k spend mark yet but I already see 50,253 available MR points credited on the MR rewards page with 134 pending points. Just wanted to know if that's usual for Amex. I'm pretty happy I got my points early too but I didn't know if this was a mistake on their part or if they're being generous.

Anyway, now that I have the points, how can I make the most valuable use of them? I've heard a lot about transferring the points to a flight program but I'm not really knowledgeable on how that would work with Amex. I might transfer them to Delta for a flight next month and use a gift card I have from them to pay for the flight back. Would that be a good way to go about it?

I have had two statements cut and I met my spend pretty early on the ED.  Yesterday the MR points still show pending.????  I received the email link for Amazon immediately upon meeting spend so I'm confused about the points.

That's odd. What's your MR point balance now not counting the pending points?

I'm impressed with how quickly Amex credited them. I'm looking at the travel portion of the website now and I have more than enough MR points to pay for two round trip airline flights to places like Boston and Los Angeles for free. If I tried to transfer them to Delta's program though, I'd get charged a $30 fee apparently.

Ok, now as of today the points are showing, though the earned February points are not.   Smiley Sad
