I agree completely with your thinking here, I am not at 800 and knew that with my 3-card setup, I could never successfully hit 800. I app'd for 2 cards this past weekend and got them. I presume with 5 cards, it is very likely I'll be able to hit 800 with some gardening in between. What I want however, is to have credit so good that when I apply for a loan, credit card, mortgage, etc that my score stays above or at least very near to 800. I believe this will require 6 credit cards, at least. Obviously, can't do it all at once. My scores plummeted the moment I received these 2 cards but that's mostly because my AAOA turned into a potato (this will be back up to 2 years by October).
I want my last card or two to be tricky ones to get because I like a challenge.
P.S. Someone please tell me if my Ring or BCE is my hardest to acquire card.

@SecretAzure wrote:Hi, I expect to hit 800 FICO by October (personal goal/mental guessing). I am wondering what people with 800 FICO scores even aim for as next credit card(s). I have heard of the mythical Centurion(?) card and such but really don't know their value. As someone who doesn't travel much, should I bother with a miles card because their benefits are that good to have or is there something else?
Okay, ending my rant here.
What do you all do or plan to do once your FICO reaches 800+? Everyone has goals and I'm wondering what they'll use their high credit scores to achieve/obtain!
Thank you for your opinions in advance!
Once I earn an 800+ FICO scores, I plan to buy a small, quaint little home, so I can enjoy a simple life...

Mighty respectable although I think you can do that with 760+ scores too!
760 score will get you just about anything. I did apply for 10 cc recently. Just testing the waters & seeing which cards treat me the best. I will always keep my oldest cards but will weed through the others once my CL's are way up there. I think it's much better to have less cards with higher limits.
