A new thread about 30 Day Message from Chase

have ANOTHER friend now in Limbo with Chase.

1.  My mom was shut down before card arrivals because she appd for things after chase approval and they didn't like it.

2.  One friend got instant approvals, got her cards and then about a week later waiting through a "review"

3.  and now a 3rd waiting on a 30 day message for her application.  From what I read, this is a good thing?  She was prequalified for the Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Slate.  I told her to do the Freedom first and then the CSP.  Well she did the Freedom Unlimited - not sure the qualifications are different and she wasn't "prequalified for that one" but it led to the 30 day message both via email and on the recorded line.  Hee income is low 6 figures, debt low and no inquiries except when Cap One decides to look again, but no new accounts in a year and only 1 last year.  Her Venture card from a little over a year ago is the only recent card she has.  She wanted the CSP more then the Freedom.

??If they are reviewing her, should she just fire away with that app since it is still showing on the prequal site or wait out this 30 day whatever?  From reading here, those seem to end favorably so she shouldn't probably rock the boat. Thoughts?

Thanks!

I would wait it out and not do anything during the 30 day process. Results can vary, but may as well play it self.

30 day with Chase can go either way. Most likely it's being reviewed by a human so whenever it comes up in their queue you will either be approved or it will update to 7-10 day message.

As it has been said here many times, never talk to anyone at Chase. Wait it out either way.

I wish I would have listened to these golden words.

All else fails, you can always try to recon.

Good Luck, I've seen more 30 day approvals then denials.

250k+ CL and climbing.

Re: A new thread about 30 Day Message from Chase

Here's my recent experience:

I got the 30 day email and then 7-10 day phone status message back on Jun 3rd applying for the United Explorer Card. Called recon on June 9th after receiving the denial letter in the mail. They asked me a bunch of questions one of which was regarding an old WaMu account that I thought I had settled but they said was showing up as a charge off. They said they would get back to me.

App status changed to the 30 day message after that. Today I accidently called Chase instead of Citi about something else (CLI denial). After I gave them my social I realized my mistake and apologized for bugging them and attempted to hang up. The CSR told me to hold on and said I needed to go to verification. 20 minutes later they said I was approved. Phone status now says I'm approved.
