So I apped for an Amex BCE and got denied. Reason said FICO score too low. My experian score is a 619. Any idea what score needs to be?
I do have a NFCU card 500 limit
Cap1 plat- 300 limit
Cap1 QS1- 300 limit
Local credit union 1k limit
NFCU Navcheck 15k.
Any chance of a recon with them?
Thank you.
In my experience, the magic number was 660+.

It should be noted, though, that score is only one part of it. You can have an 800 and get denied for a card if other metrics in your file don't meet the UW criteria.

With your scores, a recon won't work unfrotunately. Like others have stated, give it sometime for your credit profile to improve a bit and then try again. Amex is not as lenient as the companies that approved you and gave you those limits.
So time and patience are your best bet right now. Hang in there.
If BCE is what you want the ideally your Exp Score should be > 680 closer to 700... Although score is just a general gauge of a persons credit. It is what is within the reports the ultimately makes the decision such as utlization, AAoA, baddies, income, etc.. Before trying for any Amex's again I would sugget getting to > 660 Experian as a general gauge, but if you want the BCE(BCE/BCP and SPG are their toughest UW criteria) work on getting it higher and work on what is holding down your scores being utilization/baddies, etc.
